  This Week
This week we will wrap up our research papers. On Monday you will learn how to write introductions to sentences to make them more interesting. Tuesday and Thursday you will be in the Media Center putting the final touches on papers. In addition, you will research counter-claims and include one in your research paper.

The summative assessment for our research unit will be on Friday-study guide will be given to you on Wednesday. Have a great week!

  Week of 9.23.13 Current Topics
Happy Fall! Last week you completed your first summative assessment (Unit 1, Word Training). I am proud to say that everyone earned an “A” on your unit. Our grades ranged from 90 to 100 (go Tahj!).

This week in Text Training we will continue working on definitions, questioning and constucting sentences. Thanks for your hard work!

  Language! Live…
Well, I think we are up and running (for now)! Don’t forget you can log in at home and complete lessons. Make sure you have Google Chrome or a current version of Internet Explorer. You will also need a headset with a microphone. Ready? Copy this link:

  LANGUAGE! Live is here!
This week we will begin our new program Language! Live. Our class will be working on line and as small groups during the course of our study. Some of the benefits you will receive if you really focus on this program are:you will have better comprehension as you read, which leads to better grades, which leads to more opportunities in life! I am excited to help guide you to these goals, and look forward to seeing your progress over the weeks to come.
