Biography:

Mrs. Moore is a life-time educator who believes helping to develop healthy esteem and positive body image in girls is the key to tapping into their leadership capacity. She holds three degrees and worked extensively in the school systems of North Carolina. Having lived in Belgium for six years and absorbed the French culture and language, she enjoys sharing this passion with her students.

Mrs. Moore is a seven-time personal development author, named one of 52 Empowering Women Who Empower Girls along with The One World Doll Project’s Stacey McBride-Irby, HGTV Property Virgin’s Egypt Sherrod and WNBA President Laurel Richie. Featured in a host of publications, radio and TV shows, Mrs. Moore was also selected as a national semi-finalist for Proctor & Gamble’s My Black Is Beautiful Ambassador Search (2014). That same year she was featured on the cover of Connected Woman Magazine for her work with youth. In 2015 she has been selected among the Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, and chosen for the Woman of Impact Award in Community and Arts by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.

When not teaching, Mrs. Moore, a doctoral candidate at North Carolina State University, empowers girls ages 10-17 with healthy body image and esteem through mentoring and training.

Mrs. Moore is a loving mother of two, wife, youth advocate and respected entrepreneur who has a love for teaching. She is using her voice and presence to empower our youth to do the same.

Bonjour!

Tomorrow Level I students will be presenting in groups their projects. There were 5 stations represented that each required a different competency be met.

1- familymembers
2- time and activities
3- create a dream house
4- possessive adjectives song
5- show possession “de” with objects and people

The best work will be represented in the hall display.

  Level I and II recap
Mes etudiants!

Great job, on Unit 4! It was pretty comprehensive but I am pleased with the work put in overall from my Level I and II students! 

In level I we learned about Family, relationships, possession, and all about living arrangements!

In Level II we learned how to communicate in the past in two different ways and all about travel and transportation! We simulated a train station and even had a  

Unit 5/6 is coming up! Be thinking about our cultural experience and your contributions!

Please go ahead and begin working on your unit vocabulary so that you are ahead of the game!
