  Anglo-Saxon Vocabulary Quiz Tomorrow!!!
Here are the vocabulary words for the Anglo-Saxon Vocab Quiz:
(for more exact definitions, please use a dictionary!)

1. reparation: compensation for a wrong committed
2. solace: comfort
3. loathsome: disgusting, detested
4. massive: huge, large
5. mail: armor made of tiny metal rings woven together
6. writhing: twisting and turning
7. purge: purify, cleanse
8. epic: long, narrative poem about hero (embodies the characteristics of the culture of origin)
9. kenning: two-word metaphorical re-naming of a concrete noun
10. caesura: dramatic pause in poetry

  3rd block!!!

Research papers are due Wednesday, Oct. 2nd! We will be going to the computer lab for the last time Monday. Please be ready to print your papers then. We will begin proofreading/editing in class.

  2nd and 4th blocks!

Papers are due Monday!!!! Links to Citation Machine and The Owl at Purdue are in the Links sections to the left of this message. I also put a Word document with the Works Cited page tips in the Files section.


We will go to the computer lab for about 30 minutes to submit papers to Blackboard. You may submit during class or any time Monday until 11:59 p.m. Midnight or later… it will be late!
