*Linear functions have a constant first difference
*Quadratic functions have a constant second difference
*Exponential functions have a constant ratio

Deciding Independent or Dependent
The independent variable is the one where you control the values.
The dependent variable takes on values based on what you decide to set the independent variable’s values.
The independent variable is defined as ‘x'; these values are on the x-axis
“X” is also the input, domain, and solution
The dependent variable depends on the value of ‘x’ so it is a function of ‘x’, which is f(x).
The dependent variable is defined as f(x) and these values are on the y-axis
“Y” is also f(x), output, and range
