Unit Five
This unit will focus on transformations within a coordinate plane. Students will learn how to perform and combine rotations, reflections, translations and dilations. It is essential that students memorize the rules for each transformation. They have been given these rules. Please encourage them to work on the rules at home.
The summative assessment will be given on Friday, April 3. Students will receive a study guide on Wednesday, April 1.

Unit Four
Unit Four is the statistic unit for the Coordinate Algebra class. Students will be expected to find the central tendencies, standard deviation and five number summary when given data points. The focus will be on comparing sets of data by using central tendencies and graphs. Students will take a summative assessment on March 26 and will also complete a summative project that will be due on March 25.

Unit 5
Unit Five covers quadratice equations. We will learn how to graph, write equations and use quadratice equations to solve application problems. Students will learn how to use both standard and vertex form of a quadratice equation and to convert from one form to another. The summative assessment for this unit will occur the Friday before Spring Break on April 3.

Unit 4
Unit Four reviews and extends basic concepts of adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials. It will also cover the rules of exponents and radicals and solving exponential and radical equations. This will be a short unit with the unit test given on March 19.
