We will begin our new Unit. We will
Describe the various origins of fires and classes of fires.
Explain the role that LPSCS personnel and citizens play in fire safety.
Identify potential fire risks in the home, school and workplace and Identify locations of hazardous materials in the home by conducting a Hazard Hunt scenario.
Conduct a basic size-up for a fire emergency by drawing a Fire Escape Route.
Describe minimum safety precautions, including safety equipment and utilitycontrol.
Categorize the origins of fires and the different classes of fires.

Week of January 26th
We will continue our studey of the Miranda Warnings and relevant cases. We will also do a Court Scavenger Hunt.

You will finish up you Terrorism Projects by completing the Revised Round Robin tables. THis will be our last day in the Media Center. WHen you have completed everything, you will turn this into me.
We will begin viewing the educational movie “White House Down”. This movie is a great tool to show wtudents how not only the White House but America was invaded and attacked by “homegrown” terrorists.

Week of Oct. 6th
We just wrapped up our Bodies As Evidence Unit and We will begin our Unit on Crime Scene Investigations this week. I will be using several video clips and videos for teaching tools during this unit. Former Student, Detective Raissi, with Homicide (Cobb County Police) will be our guest speaker on Friday. I look forward to the knowledge he will bring to the class about crime scenes.
