EOC Testing Information
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As we approach our mandated Spring End of Course (EOC) testing, I wanted to share some information with you regarding attendance for test sessions. The State DOE has indicated that results from EOC tests will take up to 13 business days to be delivered to the local school. As a result, it is even MORE vital that your student be present for ALL sessions of their EOC tests. Absence during testing could result in delayed scores and incomplete grades for those students.
- Please help your child be successful during testing by requiring them to come to school.
- Please do not schedule appointments during testing. If a student is called to check out during a test, their EOC score will be invalidated. This will result in no credit being awarded for the course until the makeup EOC can be administered.
For your convenience, this is the EOC test schedule for this semester:
- April 29, April 30, May 1, May 2- Ninth Lit and American Lit
- May 6, May 7- Algebra I and Geometry
- May 8, May 9- Biology and Physical Science
- May 8, May 9- US History
- April 30, May 1, May 2, May 3, May 4- Economics
Additional EOC resources can be found on the GaDOE website at http://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/Assessment/Pages/Georgia-Milestones-EOC-Resources.aspx.
Thank you for helping your student successfully navigate these EOC tests. Should you have any questions regarding testing, please email me at [email protected] .

Here Comes the Bus! The App for Cobb Parents is Here
“Is the bus on time?”
“Did we miss the bus?”
“How much time do we have left to make it to the bus stop in time?”
“Oh, it’s raining, cold, and dark. I don’t want my kids to wait at the bus stop any longer than necessary.”
Parents often have those thoughts as they are getting their kids ready for school. Mornings can be a stressful time, but the Cobb County School District is taking one worry away from parents.
On March 4, the Cobb Schools Transportation Department will roll out the new “Here Comes the Bus” app so parents can track their child’s bus in real-time on a map.
The Cobb Schools Transportation Department transports more than 70,000 students via about 1,000 school buses every day. Now every parent will know exactly where the specific bus carrying their child is at on the route to and from school.
In addition to giving scheduled and actual arrival times for home and school, the app will also provide push and email notifications when the bus is near. So, thanks to the bus app, Cobb parents will know when the bus enters their neighborhood.
“We are proud to be able to offer this new service to Cobb parents,” said Superintendent Chris Ragsdale. The “Here Comes the Bus” app not only ensures that our students know when to arrive at the bus stop so they are on time to school, but the app also helps keep our students safe. Parents will know exactly when their child steps off the bus in the afternoon. The app connects our parents to protect our students.”
To ease stress in the mornings and afternoons, download the bus app in the Apple App Store, get it on Google Play, or visit herecomesthebus.com.
Georgia Parent Survey
Parents, please take a moment to complete the survey using your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. All parents are asked to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish, which may be selected within the survey. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below. Thank you!
