  Daily Activity Log 2-3 Times per Week
Please complete the activity log found in the files section of this blog 2-3 times per week to log your 20-30 minutes of physical activity 2-3 days per week.

Physical Activity Basic Examples: (Choose 1-2 per day or any other variation of that fitness component)

Cardiovascular Endurance - Mile Run or Pacer
Muscular Endurance - Curl Ups (sit ups)
Muscular Strength - Push Ups
Flexibility - sit and reach for lower body, arm pulls (arm across chest) for upper body (shoulders, tricep pull (elbow up, pull down on elbow to stretch tricep)

  Team Sports PE Digital Learning Assignments

PE (Team Sports) Digital learning Assignments

Complete and submit one of the following by March 20th by 3:30 pm. 50pts.

Submit to your teacher via email by the above date

  1. Choose any physical fitness topic from the course that interests you and write a one page report on that topic. Information should come from any reputable internet resource and must be documented to include the URL for each.  Failure to document will result in a grade of zero.  All work should be original.  Do not copy and paste.  Reports should be single-spaced using a 12 pt. font. 

 

  1. Research any physical fitness article online and write an article summary. The summary must contain the URL of the source and should be original in content.  The length should be one page, single-spaced using a 12 pt. font.

 

  1. Design a personal fitness brochure that contains a section on each of the following:

    • Definition and components of physical fitness
    • A sample workout plan that will develop each of the 5 areas of health related fitness
    • Nutrition for exercise
    • Guidelines/tips for exercise
    • Appropriate graphics and illustrations

Complete and submit one of the following by March 27th by 3:30 pm 50pts.

 

  1. Create a PowerPoint presentation on any one of the topics listed below. The presentation should be a minimum of 12 slides, should include appropriate graphics and illustrations and should reference all resources.

    • Current exercise trends
    • What makes a fad diet a fad?
    • New technology and equipment to enhance the quest of physical fitness
    • Anatomy and physiology of either: (choose one) skeletal muscle function,  aerobic vs. anaerobic  energy production, oxygen transport and the vascular system, cardio and respiratory systems
    • Basic physiology of human exercise

 

  1. Create a video or electronic multimedia presentation as a public service advertisement to educate people on the state of physical fitness in American youth. 2min in length

 

  1. Create an electronic poster or visual aid to encourage youth participation in physical activity that addresses at least 5 principles of exercise.

 

  1. Create a menu for the perfect healthy fast food restaurant by researching various existing restaurants to locate their most healthy food items. Name your restaurant and design a logo to appear on the cover page of your menu.   The menu should include both breakfast, lunch and dinner food items with the following nutritional information listed for each:  total number of calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates and sodium.

 

  1. Create an electronic presentation (PowerPoint, Publisher, Newsletter, etc.) to address each of the five areas of health related fitness: body composition, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, and muscle endurance.   For each component, explain what it is, how it is developed, why it is important to personal fitness and 3-4 specific exercises to target that area.  Include a slide for each component that illustrates how you are applying that knowledge to improve your own personal fitness.  The presentation should contain a reference page for all resources used.
