We are continuing with AP test prep, Zoom meeting on Monday at 1:00 to practice cultural comparisons and on Wednesday at 1:00 to work on simulated conversation.
Remember that senior grades are due tomorrow. Seniors, if you are planning to turn in any work, today is your deadline!!

We will have a Zoom meeting today to practice the simulated conversation.
AP Test Info:
The test is May 22 at 4:00. It will not take any more than 45 minutes but is expected to be much less.
World Language tests can ONLY be taken on a smart phone or tablet.
You must be able to download a free app on this smart phone or tablet.
The app will be available for downloading 1 week before the test.
There will be English examples to practice with using the app during that week.
You will receive a test ticket electronically through My AP Classroom and the email address you registered with College Board.
Long before the test (I suggest today), make sure that you are:
Able to log in to College Board, and/or
Receiving emails from College Board (check junk mail and your spam filter)
The test has only 2 parts this year:
A simulated conversation
Instead of the outline we practiced with, this will be more in the style of a telephone survey or interview. You will be asked 5 questions and you will need to respond with as much detail as possibly for 20 seconds each response. The questions will all be related to the same topic. Pay attention during the initial instructions when they tell you the premise and the topic.
A cultural comparison
This will be exactly like we did in class. You will be given a topic and will have 4 minutes to prepare and then talk for 2 minutes. In your comparison, be sure to talk about BOTH a Spanish speaking community AND another community you are familiar with.
You are allowed to have notes during the test but remember that the test is timed. You do not want to have so many notes in front of you that you waste precious moments in your 4 minutes of cultural comparison prep time. 😊

¡Buenos días! This week we will work on the cultural comparison. I am going to assign one cultural comparison each day this week (Monday-Thursday). You should choose 2 of the 4 to answer. This week, please write out your response. Time yourself saying your response. Remember that it should be 2 minutes. Remember that for the cultural comparison that you need to compare a Spanish speaking community with another community you are familiar with. Community can be as large a a country or as small as a town or family
