Here’s an update on Honors Biology… All grades are up to date. Please check Synergy. If a student has a zero or a blank spot in his/her grade find the assignment in your notebook or bookbag, complete it, and turn it in ASAP for partial credit. If a student has failed a test please come in before or after school (or during your lunch) to do test corrections and then retake a different version of the test. We are available every morning at 7:30. This week we are only available on Monday, Thursday, and Friday afternoon.
We have noticed that many students are not taking advantage of using www.usatestprep.com to help them study. We add all sorts of interactive animations, games, practice tests, and vocabulary practice to help the kids review. Currently only 15% of our kids participate in this activity. Please check this site out. The login information is: account ID: mceachern, username is their student ID number, and password is indians.
Another way kids can review or get reinforcement is to look in the remediation folder on Blackboard. This folder contains numerous video clips, animations, articles, etc. for you to use to help you understand topics better. The students access blackboard through www.mceachernhigh.org, their username is mce.firstname.lastname and password is their student ID number.
Our next unit is over photosynthesis and cellular respiration. This is a VERY complex topic. Please try to be present in class this week- try to avoid checking out during this time. We go into great depth in this complex topic and one absence will be difficult to recover from and will require time outside of class for tutoring. Our test over photosynthesis and cellular respiration will be Monday 2/29. Practice assignments are already available on www.usatestprep.com and on Blackboard if you want to get a head start.

The data for the M&M lab is in the files section to the left. I am uploading data for each class (3rd and 4th blocks) as well as combined data. Why might it be better to use combined data? Be ready to discuss this on Monday! Email Ms. Mattson or Mrs. Davis if you have any questions!
