  Month of October updated

We will have a hands on practical on Friday of this week on Approach & Arrest of Suspects.  We will have a written test on Approach & Arrest of Suspects on Monday the 16th.

We will also have a mid-term on October 17th or 18th.  We will meet for a few minutes on Friday, the 19th due to the Homecoming pep Rally. 

We will begin Report Writing and DUI Detection on October 25th.

  The month of October
Students will continue to analyze a Georgia law every day.  Students will learn this month the duties of Public Safety Officers and we will have several guest speakers this month to assist in what we are learning. Students will be able to describe cultural diversity and why it is important for officers to be culturally diverse.  Students will also learn the Approach & Arrest of Suspects, we will take a look at the Rodney King Riots and compare it to the Ferguson Riots.  Students will learn how to administer a Field Sobriety Evaluation (DUI) using drunk goggles and write a police report.  Officer Dilbeck and Monto (K-9) will be coming in sometime soon to pay us a visit!

  Week before the Break
Okay just one more week!  You can do it!  We will finish up our study on the Bill Of Rights and Adult Rights vs. juvenile Rights.  We will also studey the Rodney King and Ferguson Riots.

  Weeks of Oct. 30-Nov. 10
We have started our Cultural Diversity, Bill of Rights, Approach and Arrest of Suspect Unit.  There are 3 units rolled into these 10 days.  We will have 2 police officers as our guest speakers.  We will also have a Handcuffing Lab.
