Concluding the Football Season
After having a very successful season, and playing in the 4th round of the Georgia High School Football playoffs, Coach Kyle Hockman is able to announce a very impressive group of McEachern football seniors who will go on to the next level and play college football. This group of talented players will continue their football careers at various colleges throughout the United States. Quarterback Tymashian Clemons has received a scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University. Clemons was 85 for 144 passing attempts totaling 1243 yards and 14 touchdowns. Additionally he had 97 rushing attempts for 1196 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. Runningback Ryan Sherman has received a scholarship to Stillman University. Sherman had 48 rushing attempts for 208 yards for a 4.33 yard rushing average and scored 5 touchdowns. Linebacker Glenn Frazier, Kicker Dennis Dominguez and Defensive Back Rahmoi Parsons have been offered scholarships at Tusculum College. Frazier had 80 tackles and 50 assists for 130 total tackles and also had 4 interceptions. Dominguez was 3 for 7 on field goal attempts and 59 for 66 on extra point attempts. He also punted 18 times for 583 yards with a 32.3 yard average and a long of 55 yards. Rahmoi Parsons had 43 solos and 10 assists for a total of 53 tackles and also had an impressive 7 interceptions. Free Safety Daryus Thompson has received a scholarship to Miami of Ohio. Thompson totaled 59 tackles with 38 solos and 21 assists and 1 interception. Tight End Trey Scott has received a scholarship to Tulane University. Scott caught 12 passes for 172 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensive Back Christian Ford and Wide Receiver Malik Williams have received scholarships to Morehead State. Ford had 50 tackles with 35 solos and 15 assists and 4 interceptions. Williams, an impressive blocker all season caught 35 passes for 395 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensive End Henry Famurewa has received a scholarship to the University of Louisville. Famurewa had 116 tackles with 71 solos and 45 assists and also led the team with 16 sacks. Defensive back Jaylyn White has received a scholarship to Point University. White made contributions on special teams and had 12 tackles on the season. Outside Linebacker Justin Pendleton and Runningback Alizee Chubbs have received scholarships to Mississippi College. Pendleton had 60 tackles with 30 solos and 30 assists. Chubbs, primarily a short yardage specialist had 124 carries for 533 yards. Defensive back Michael Williams has received a scholarship to Virginia Military Institute. Williams had 24 tackles and 1 interception. Offensive lineman Uche Nkadi has received a scholarship to Columbia University. Nkadi started every game and was one of the co-winners of this season’s academic award. Wide Receiver Artise Clark has received a scholarship to Hutchinson Junior College. Making his marks late in the season, Clark had 13 receptions for 232 yards and 4 touchdowns. Defensive End McKenzie Billingslea has received a scholarship to Kennesaw State. Billingslea had 116 tackles with 62 solos and 44 assists also logging in 15 sacks.
McEachern will miss the contributions on the field and in the community from these fine seniors. They will be missed yet we will all watch for their success as they take their careers to the next level. Thank you seniors, you will be missed.
