Beta Club is an academic, service organization.  Students with a 3.500 or higher cumulative grade point average are invited to join beginning in the sophomore year.

Members are required to:

• Attend 5 general meetings per year (held the first Thursday of every month)
• Complete 30 service points per year (approximately 15 - 20 hours of community service)
• Complete one club fundraiser per year
• Maintain GPA of 3.500 or higher
• Maintain a favorable discipline record

State Convention

• Held each year at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta (usually in February or March)
• Approximate cost per student is $100
• Student competitions include English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Spelling, Creative Writing, Oratory, Quiz Bowl, Art (Pencil Drawing, Colored Pencil Drawing and Acrylic Painting), Poster, Talent (1 entry per school - Group or Individual), Banner, Club Scrapbook and Senior Scholarship
• Motivational speakers, state officer campaigns, on-site service projects, themed club mixers

2010-2011 Meeting Dates:  September 2, October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3, March 3, April 14, May 3
